On November 18th 2016, the Richard Rodgers Theatre saw something interesting. ‘Hamilton’ was going on and when the cast of the show saw Vice-President elect Mike Pence watching their show, they delivered a direct message to him. Also, Pence’s presence was booed by most of the audience members at the time when he walked in the theatre.
Mike Spence have been elected as the vice president of America and he has been majorly voted by the whites who wanted to bring back the old America and to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. So, when Pence finally came in front of the common people with “Hamilton”, a symbol of the New America, he heard things which he wasn’t really expecting!
Mike Pence Booed!
He took his seat in the theatre and soon he could hear a sustained boo from a part of the audience. He, however, sat through the whole performance which celebrated the multiculturalism of America. And soon after the show was over and he tried to take his leave, the cast of the show stopped him with their message.
On Saturday morning, Trump decided to reply back! Although he could have kept a mum, but he being Donald Trump, decided to reply through his Twitter handle. He wrote, “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” Trump could have easily assured people that he would take care of everyone in America, irrespective of their cast, creed, color, gender and sexual preferences. But what he did is something which, probably, very expected from him!
So, what do you think about his reply?
